HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Compile reimbursement requests (and related documents) submitted by TERP grantees, review financial data, and verify the eligibility of grantee expenditures to be reimbursed TCEQ.Ensure reimbursement requests are processed in accordance with applicable statutes, rule, guideline, and/or contractual requirement.May complete secondary reviews of reimbursement requests to ensure accuracy.
Provide assistance to TERP grantees who are preparing to submit requests for reimbursement.Assist grantees in addressing any deficiencies after a request for reimbursement has been submitted.
Perform data entry into databases and designated spreadsheets for each reimbursement request in accordance with established division best practices and/or standard operating procedures. Prepare ad-hoc reports in response to management requests and/or stakeholder inquiries.
Assist management in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the review and processing of grantee requests for reimbursement.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with reviewing and processing requests for reimbursement for a grant or contract.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, economics, business, public administration, or a related field, plus six months of full-time experience in lending, credit analysis, financial analysis, budget analysis, or financial regulatory work. Completion of an internship in the areas listed may substitute for the required experience.
OR
Certification as a public accountant (CPA).
Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Financial Analyst I state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Financial Analyst I series.
Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Air Grants Division.
