This job is responsible for capturing and refining business or system requirements that may involve a software change. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyzing problems, capturing requirements, creating solutions, solving problems either manually or through software, and providing subject-matter expertise on products to support scope and requirement decisions. Job expectations include collaborating with project stakeholders to analyze and confirm requirements, creating, analyzing, and improving processes and writing user and technical stories.

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a critical liaison between Workplace Benefits business and technology teams, partnering with stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver technology solutions that support strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into actionable deliverables for Agile teams, supporting testing and implementation activities, and driving successful outcomes across the full delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, and stakeholder management capabilities to help deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment, while leveraging modern tools, including GenAI, to enhance analysis and delivery effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem

  • Supports cost and benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy

  • Gathers and catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests

  • Identifies the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assists with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design

  • Assists users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs

  • Documents processes, procedures and workflows for technology as needed

  • Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.

  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications for Agile delivery teams.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, architects, testers, and business partners to ensure solutions meet business objectives and technical requirements.

  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies to support effective delivery and prioritization.

  • Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and system capabilities to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.

  • Support end-to-end delivery by managing requirements traceability from concept through implementation and production support.

  • Build strong relationships across Workplace Benefits business and technology teams to facilitate communication, alignment, and successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

  • Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation creation, process evaluation, data interpretation, and solution discovery while applying sound business judgment and validation to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Wealth Management

  • Experience as a hands on business systems analyst on an agile team, writing user stories, creating technical design documentation, system flows, etc.
