Job Description

Support global tax technology operations by managing Vertex on Demand (VoD), Tax Data Hub (TDH), SAP tax integrations, automation initiatives, and production support activities. Partner with Tax, IT, OTC, and business stakeholders to deliver tax-compliant solutions, support system implementations, and drive process improvements through technology and automation.

Tax Systems Administration

Maintain Vertex on Demand (VoD) and Tax Data Hub (TDH) environments.
Implement approved system changes and enhancements.
Gather and document business and tax requirements.
Define system input/output requirements with stakeholders.
Design tax solutions while ensuring no impact on existing processes.

Implementation & Release Management

Configure and test solutions in lower environments.
Conduct QA and regression testing.
Coordinate deployments and production releases.
Work with IT teams to resolve integration and connectivity issues.

Production Support

Support production incidents and enhancements.
Analyze Vertex XML transactions to troubleshoot tax issues.
Coordinate corrective actions with IT and business teams.
Maintain SAP tax-related configurations and reference tables.

Tax Reporting & Controls

Deliver TDH reports according to agreed schedules.
Perform GL-to-TDH reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.
Respond promptly to VoD and TDH-related inquiries.

Automation & Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
Support Alteryx, RPA, Power BI, and other digital initiatives.
Monitor and support tax-related automated processes.
Partner with IT to ensure automation stability and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with Tax, IT, Finance, OTC, and business teams.
Coordinate issue resolution across global functions.
Engage regularly with stakeholders across multiple regions.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.

Scope

Global

Desired Technical Skills:

VERTEX O Series experience of version 7.0 or above with the below skills.
Configure Taxpayers
Configure Taxability Driver / Taxability Mappings
Configure Tax Assist Rules / Lookup Tables
Migration between environments of VoD.
Good understanding of S4 HANA / Accelerator / SIC.
CFA knowledge + experience preferred
Basic Tax knowledge of Global markets particularly European VAT / US Sales Tax
Tax Data Hub (TDH) or knowledge of any VAT reporting module.
Technical Knowledge / experience on Automation tools (UiPath, Pega, Alteryx, Power Automate, etc)

Education / Certification / Experience:

B.Com / M.Com / B.Tech / SAP certification with understanding of Information Technology with 3+ years of experience handling multiple region Tax
Must be good in Communication (Oral and Verbal).
Must have strong Analytical Skills.
