Responsible for the administration, processing, reporting, and compliance oversight of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), pension distributions, savings bonds, certificates of deposit, and related wealth management operational activities. This role maintains accurate retirement account documentation, processes transactions, manages annual tax reporting and Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) obligations, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Serves as the primary contact for IRA-related inquiries, resolving issues and supporting process and system improvements. Responsible for monitoring and reconciling pledged cash balances, preparing risk management reports, and supporting middle-office functions that contribute to operational excellence and risk mitigation. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Essential Functions: All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Prepare and maintain IRA documentation, including contribution, distribution, RMD forms, and other retirement account paperwork.

• Process all IRA contributions and distributions, ensuring the appropriate reporting classification codes are accurately assigned.

• Review IRA transactions for accuracy and compliance.

• Manage annual IRA tax reporting for Form 1099-R and Form 5498

• Manage and prepare the RMD letters annually

• Manage all periodic RMD payments

• Processes all Pension distributions.

• Manage and prepare annual Pension mailing.

• Manage all activities related to savings bonds and certificates of deposit.

• Monitor and reconcile pledged cash balances for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare various risk management reports for Wealth Operating Committee and Financial Resources.

• Serve as a liaison between internal team members, third party vendors, and clients as it relates to IRA documentation, IRA systems and/or IRA related regulations.

• Consistently identifies opportunities to streamline processes by analyzing process inefficiencies, redundancies, and errors, ultimately delivering improved outcomes.

• Assist with other middle office duties, as needed.

• Work both independently and as part of a team. Provides back-up support as needed to department and participates in special projects as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or five plus years trust operations experience required.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Excellent analytical skills required. Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, i.e., Excel, Word. Works well independently and has strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills and outstanding computer keyboarding and 10-key by touch skills required. An ability to adapt to change is necessary i.e. conversions, changes in software, etc.

Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions.
