Job Description

Kiewit Mexico is a company dedicated to providing engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all tax compliance and reporting activities to ensures compliance with Mexican regulations, taxes properly calculated and timely fillings, including income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, DIOT, ISSIF, SIPRED, transfer price compliance.
  • Lead tax projects to ensure the compliance in the company in a strategic and operational level, improving efficiencies and streamline processes.
  • Develop and implement tax optimization strategies, as well as provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax matters, new regulations and identify potential tax risks or opportunities.
  • Deferred taxes and tax projections as needed. Proposes alternatives and quantify impact to the business related to accounting and tax changes.
  • Coordinate and manage external and internal tax audits and liaise with tax authorities. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s degree in tax desirable.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in tax management and compliance.
  • Experience about atypical transactions (merge, spin-off, hedge, estimated cost) desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws, NIF, USGAAP, Double taxation treaties, labor laws and foreign employees (Expats).
  • Experience in SAP and CONTPAQ.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and manage teams is a must.
