What's the role
As a Tax Specialist for Kazakhstan, you will join one of the world’s largest in-house tax organizations, working within a highly skilled and collaborative international environment. Due to the technical expertise required and the need for Russian language proficiency, we also welcome applications from candidates based in Kazakhstan who are open to relocating to Poland under local employment terms.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and ensure the timely submission of accurate tax returns (both direct and indirect taxes) to tax authorities, as well as supporting additional reporting requirements and providing input data to stakeholders (e.g., joint venture partners), including initiating payment requests and tax payments
Support tax reporting activities, including deferred tax calculations and related postings for month-end and quarter-end close processes
Perform reconciliations between SAP and ESF systems, as well as reconciling balances with taxpayer accounts maintained by tax authorities
Conduct control checks to identify errors or anomalies and taking appropriate corrective actions, including collaborating with relevant teams to resolve root causes
Collaborate closely with finance teams and stakeholders in Kazakhstan to ensure effective communication and alignment across responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance existing processes and leading improvement initiatives
Provide support during tax reviews and statutory audits
What you bring
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the preparation and submission of tax returns in Kazakhstan
Strong command of English and Russian, both written and spoken
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, and Excel
Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to enhancing processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by effective communication abilities
Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
High level of motivation, passion, and commitment to delivering results to the highest standards
A learner mindset, with the ability and willingness to stay up to date with evolving legislation and the dynamic business environment
What we offer
The salary band for this role is: 84 000 - 124 800 PLN gross annual.
Since your duties require regular use of Russian language you will be entitled to a language bonus of 800 PLN gross monthly.
