Job Description

Who you are

Are you a VAT professional who enjoys working with numbers and ensuring full compliance in a dynamic retail environment? Do you want a role where you can rely on your solid VAT expertise while gradually learning about broader corporate taxation?

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical colleague to join our finance team. If you are looking for a stable role where you can master local compliance, collaborate with international colleagues, and grow beyond standard VAT routines, this is the right place for you.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Solid practical hands-on experience with Czech VAT Declarations and Control Statements.
- Confidence in communicating in both Czech and English.
- A proactive mindset – you are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable meeting strict deadlines.
- Nice to have: Experience with EC Sales Lists, Intrastat, or SAP ERP (ideally S/4 HANA).
- Nice to have: A willingness to learn about other tax areas (we will fully support your development here; no prior expert knowledge of CIT/Transfer Pricing is expected).

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will be the key person ensuring that our operations in the Czech Republic meet all local tax obligations accurately and on time. Your workload is realistically balanced to give you a clear focus along with room for growth.

Your core focus (approx. 70% – VAT & Local Compliance):
- Independent preparation and submission of VAT Declarations and Control Statements.
- Handling of Intrastat and EC Sales Lists.
- Acting as the main point of contact for daily VAT-related operational queries.

Broader Tax Support & Development (approx. 20%, you don't need to be an expert here – you will collaborate with our advisors and global teams):
- Corporate Income Tax: Assisting with data collection and coordinating with our external tax consultants.
- Transfer Pricing & Pillar 2: Acting as a data partner for our global colleagues, providing necessary local inputs for their calculations.
- Other Taxes: Occasional administrative support with Property Tax, Road Tax, or Withholding Tax.

Treasury & Administrative Tasks (approx. 10%):
- Assisting with liquidity forecasting when needed.
- Acting as a local contact for bank guarantees and corporate credit cards.

What We Offer:

- A role with a real impact on our financial operations, where your expertise in VAT will be highly valued.
- A supportive team environment with a strong culture of sharing knowledge.
- There are tasks which are given and have strict deadlines but for the rest there is huge potential to pick and develop internally or externally and pursue areas of your interests and skills. If this motivates you, you are the person we are looking for.
- Possibility to work from home 2 days per week
- Flexible working hours (fixed hours 9 – 15h)
