About This Role

Exciting opportunity in Indirect Tax to fulfill our obligations in managing the sales/use & property tax process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure data is provided timely to outsourced vendor for proper filing and payment of state and local sales and use taxes, or similarly related transactional taxes throughout the United States.

• Help the property tax team in the annual filing and payments of returns.

• Interact with business units to resolve data file and reconciliation issues.

• Provide support to Planning, Audit and Tax Technology units as required by providing relevant tax data for research and analysis.

• Manage the mail and tax support e-mail mailboxes.

• Complete special projects assigned by management.

• Oversee a limited business license renewal process.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science

• 5+ years of general accounting experience

• 2+ years of Indirect tax experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of tax compliance programs such as SAP, JDE and One Source is a plus

• Sales and use tax/property tax experience

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in Word and Access computer software

• Good interpersonal skills, including ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout Tax and Finance organizations, at Carrier Corporation and subsidiaries

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to be able to adjust and adapt to change
