CharteredPartners is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join a growing accounting firm in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements end to end, acting as the principal day-to-day contact for clients and supervising the wider team as the UAE tax landscape continues to mature. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate tax compliance engagements end to end, overseeing registrations, computations and FTA filings to deadline.
  • Deliver practical advisory work under the UAE Corporate Tax regime at 9% and VAT at 5%.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation aligned to OECD principles, including master and local files.
  • Advise on free-zone considerations, including the Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP) 0% regime and economic substance requirements.
  • Act as the principal day-to-day client contact, managing timelines, queries and expectations.
  • Supervise, review and develop managers and junior staff, providing technical coaching and quality control.
  • Assist with the assessment of Pillar Two obligations under director and partner direction.
  • Support engagement economics through budgeting, billing and work-in-progress management.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A recognised professional accounting or tax qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
  • Solid post-qualification experience in corporate tax, with GCC, UAE or comparable international exposure.
  • Working knowledge of the UAE Corporate Tax regime and FTA administration.
  • Practical familiarity with VAT at 5% and its interaction with corporate tax compliance.
  • Experience managing tax compliance cycles and authority correspondence.
  • Understanding of transfer pricing documentation requirements under OECD-aligned rules.
  • Awareness of free-zone structures, the QFZP 0% regime and economic substance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently while maintaining technical quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client stakeholders.
  • Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting groups establishing tax functions in a newly taxed environment.
  • Exposure to clients across multiple sectors and ownership structures.
  • Familiarity with FTA registration, filing and clarification processes.
  • Involvement in transfer pricing documentation projects.
  • A track record of contributing to proposals and practice development.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring within a structured review framework.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
