Join Deloitte’s Private Tax team, a dynamic and multidisciplinary group dedicated to advising private companies, their owners, and high net worth individuals on complex commercial and tax matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and influence in areas such as asset holding structures, personal taxation, shareholder issues, succession and estate planning. Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position

  • AITI qualified tax professional with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience (PQE), complemented by ACA/CTA or equivalent qualifications.

  • Strong technical expertise in advising on asset holding structures, personal taxation, shareholder matters, succession and estate planning.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-specialists and to manage multiple client engagements effectively.

  • Demonstrated experience working within private clients’ teams, with excellent interpersonal, project management and client relationship skills.

  • A proactive, flexible approach with strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Success in the Role

  • Deliver detailed, technically robust tax advice and planning strategies tailored to private clients’ needs.

  • Lead and support client engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective management of billing and fee collection.

  • Develop and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

What type of work will I be doing?

  • Advising clients on tax planning strategies related to asset holding, personal taxation, shareholder issues, succession and estate planning

  • Preparing detailed technical tax advice and conducting research on tax legislation and case law

  • Managing client relationships, billing and fee collection processes

  • Delegating, managing and reviewing work of trainees and junior staff

  • Delivering in-house tax training and assisting with client presentations as required
