The Opportunity

As a Tax Principal, you'll serve as both a strategic advisor and business leader while helping drive the continued growth of a thriving tax practice.

You'll work closely with executives, investors, entrepreneurs, healthcare systems, closely held businesses, ownership groups, and nonprofit organizations while leading sophisticated planning, consulting, and compliance engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Tax Advisory

• Lead complex tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements
• Develop proactive tax strategies that support business growth and profitability
• Advise clients on entity structuring, ownership transitions, and strategic business decisions
• Provide guidance on complex federal, state, and local tax matters
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, business owners, and organizational leaders

Client Relationship Leadership

• Build and strengthen long-term client relationships
• Deliver exceptional client service and business insight
• Identify opportunities to expand and deepen client engagements
• Collaborate with management teams and stakeholders on critical business initiatives
• Help clients navigate evolving regulatory and tax environments

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and develop tax professionals across multiple levels
• Mentor future managers, directors, and firm leaders
• Provide technical guidance and professional development support
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on excellence and client service
• Support recruiting, retention, and talent development initiatives

Business Development & Practice Growth

• Participate in networking, speaking engagements, and industry events
• Assist with strategic growth initiatives and market expansion
• Develop relationships with referral sources and prospective clients
• Support proposal development and client presentations
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the firm's tax practice

Qualifications

Required

• CPA, EA, or equivalent professional credential
• 8+ years of tax experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate tax leadership
• Strong tax planning and advisory experience

• Excellent communication and business-development skills
• Strategic mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities
