About the Opportunity

As a Remote Tax Preparer, you will assist clients with preparing and filing individual income tax returns using professional tax preparation software. You will have the flexibility to work remotely, manage your schedule, and grow your income based on your production and client relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare individual tax returns
• Collect and review client tax documents
• Communicate professionally with clients
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Follow tax compliance requirements
• Provide a positive client experience
• Build and maintain your client relationships

Compensation

This is a commission based opportunity, which means your earning potential is based on your effort and completed tax returns. Tax Preparers receive 70% of eligible tax preparation fees collected from their clients.

Example:

Complete 5 tax returns per week at an average preparation fee of $900:

Weekly tax preparation fees generated: $4,500

Estimated weekly commission: $3,150

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate individual income tax returns using professional tax software
• Collect, review, and organize client tax documents
• Verify information for accuracy and completeness before filing
• Communicate professionally with clients throughout the tax preparation process
• Explain the tax preparation process and request any missing documentation
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial and personal information
• Follow IRS regulations, company policies, and tax compliance requirements
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Meet established deadlines during tax season
• Participate in required training and continuing education
• Market your tax preparation services and grow your client base through networking, referrals, and community outreach
