Overview

Our Tax team is looking for a Tax Operations Analyst who loves solving problems with data and technology. You'll sit at the intersection of tax, accounting, and technology: finding ways to make our processes faster, more accurate, and more scalable. You'll automate manual workflows, build data tools and dashboards, and streamline how the team gathers, reconciles, and reports tax data. This role is a strong fit for someone with an accounting foundation and a builder's mindset. Prior tax experience is a plus, but not required. We will teach you the tax side.

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows in Alteryx to replace manual, spreadsheet-driven processes.
• Review existing tax operations processes end to end, identify inefficiencies and control gaps, and recommend and implement improvements.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that give the team and management real-time visibility into tax data.
• Pull, clean, transform, and analyze large data sets from multiple accounting and operational systems.
• Automate recurring reconciliations of tax-related data, and research and resolve exceptions.
• Partner with Technology, Accounting, and Operations teams to improve data sourcing, integrate systems, and support new tools.
• Document processes, workflows, and controls, and help drive adoption of new tools across the team.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit, financial operations, or data analytics (relevant internships count).
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas, and comfort working with large data sets.
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data automation and a visualization tool, such as Power BI.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and experience with accounting systems or a general ledger.
• A process-improvement mindset: you notice inefficiencies and are motivated to fix them.
• Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and comfort working independently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical colleagues.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting and data tools.
• A track record of automating a manual process or delivering a process improvement project.
• Prior tax experience or exposure to financial services or trading environments.
