The Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager - Accounting and Reporting is responsible for supporting income tax accounting matters, including the monthly income tax provision, quarterly/annual reporting, and SOX controls processes. They will plan, organize, and lead a team focusing on staff development and process improvements. They will also lend support in areas such as tax forecasting, tax compliance, audits and legislative impacts, and regulatory matters.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.

  • Calculate and maintain effective tax rate calculations.

  • Preparation and review of income tax disclosures as part of the Company’s external reporting process (10-K, 10-Q, Misc. GAAP Statements, FERC Forms, etc.).

  • Provide review and oversight of internal control policies and procedures.

  • Manage and develop Tax staff and coordinate training.

  • Exercise oversight of outside consultants and contractors providing professional services and staff augmentation.

  • Actively participate in the analysis, selection, and maintenance of tax systems for use in filing tax returns/reports and continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting findings, preparing reports, and providing analytical support.

  • Support the preparation of income tax forecasts, analysis, and schedules to support company planning processes.

  • Support the tax compliance efforts, including tax return preparation and application of tax planning strategies and audit outcomes to income tax provisions and reporting.

  • Apply understanding of uncertain tax positions and valuation allowances to support ongoing business operations.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

  • Six (6) years of total work experience in business, finance or accounting with a minimum of three (3) years experience in tax functions. (Tax Manager)

  • Eight (8) years of total work experience in business, finance or accounting with a minimum of three (3) years experience in tax functions. (Tax Senior Manager)

Other Must Haves:

  • Licenses/Certifications: Professional Certification (CPA, CMA, CIA) preferred.

Where You'll Work:

  • This is an On-Site role based out of Columbus, OH.

What You'll Get:

  • Salary Range between: $116,000-$145,000 (Tax Manager), $136,000-$175,000 (Tax Senior Manager)

$116,255.00 - $177,503.00
