What You’ll Do

As a Tax Manager within the Tax-Exempt practice, you will spend at least half (potentially up to 100%) of your time serving nonprofit clients, including health care providers or plans, private foundations, public charities, higher education institutions, and other nonprofit organizations. • Advising clients on a variety of tax issues, including tax compliance, business restructuring, exemption strategies, philanthropic and charitable giving planning, and tax controversy.
  • Overseeing federal, international, and state tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
  • Managing engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.
  • Providing technical training, leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team.

The Team

Deloitte’s Global Center for Excellence in Philanthropy (“GCEP”): This is a cross-functional team comprised of tax, audit, and consulting professionals from Deloitte’s Monitor Institute. The GCEP serves innovative individuals, companies, and nonprofits working to drive societal change. Our team has spent decades providing philanthropic tax advisory services to some of the wealthiest and most sophisticated donors in the world.
