Tax Manager – LATAM & APAC:

The Tax Manager – LATAM & APAC is responsible for managing regional income tax provision, tax compliance, reporting processes, and tax-related projects across multiple jurisdictions. This role supports adherence to regulatory requirements, SOX controls, and internal policies while ensuring accurate tax reporting and effective risk management.

The position partners with regional and global stakeholders provide technical tax guidance, support business initiatives, coordinate compliance activities, and contribute to the execution of the Company's tax strategy across LATAM and APAC.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations (ASC 740 / local GAAP).
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of tax accounting and reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance tax provision models and reporting tools.
  • Identify and escalate tax risks and support the implementation of mitigation actions.
  • Support the analysis and documentation of uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and support internal control activities.
  • Coordinate corporate income tax compliance activities across LATAM and APAC jurisdictions.
  • Assist in the standardization and improvement of tax compliance processes.
  • Support the management of cross-border tax matters and transfer pricing compliance.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions to ensure consistency with global transfer pricing policies.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and local file requirements.
  • Support international tax projects, including BEPS and Pillar Two compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional and global tax teams on cross-border tax matters.
  • Support tax audits and information requests from tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with external advisors on tax compliance and controversy matters.
  • Provide technical guidance on tax issues.
  • Monitor tax law changes across LATAM and APAC and assess compliance implications.
  • Assist with external audits and preparation of supporting tax documentation.
  • Support tax planning initiatives aimed at improving tax efficiency and reducing risk.
  • Participate in legal entity restructurings, financing projects, and cash repatriation initiatives.
  • Assist with tax due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Evaluate the tax impact of business transactions and provide recommendations.
  • Support special tax projects as assigned by regional and global tax leadership.

Leadership:

  • Serve as a key tax contact for assigned LATAM and APAC jurisdictions.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and operational teams.
  • Provide guidance and support to tax analysts and other finance team members.
  • Coordinate external tax advisors to support regional tax compliance and reporting activities.
  • Communicate tax risks, compliance matters, and project status to tax leadership.
  • Support process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives within the tax function.
  • Contribute to the execution of regional and global tax objectives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA, Master’s degree, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive tax experience, including tax compliance and tax reporting.
  • Experience supporting tax matters across LATAM and preferably APAC jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of income tax accounting (ASC 740), corporate tax compliance, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience working with external advisors, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
