What you'll be doing…

The ideal candidate will understand Telecommunications Gross Receipts tax laws and regulations, as well as have skills in modern tax data automation. This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the accurate and timely filing of State and Local Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) Returns.
• Ensure that the team works with automation tools (e.g. Alteryx, QLIK, Gemini) to identify process improvements and reduce redundant tasks by using innovative techniques such as Robotics & designing process flows.
• Lead special projects including tax research initiatives and analyze the impact to the tax filings as required.
• Responsible for the oversight of various tax liability account reconciliations.
• Responsible for cash forecasting and budgeting for the Team.
• Partner with various teams including Tax Research, Tax Audit, Legal and Tax Exemption teams to clearly communicate complex tax issues and ensure proper documentation is obtained to support filing positions.
• Partner with the business on various initiatives and provide tax support as needed.
• Manage and adhere to all SOX controls with a focus on risk mitigation.
• Assist on mergers and acquisition projects.
• Manage, develop and mentor team members.
• Manage gross receipts tax calendar to assign returns for accurate and timely filing.

What we're looking for…

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Experience in state and local tax compliance with an emphasis in state tax laws and regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and gross receipts regulations.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Experience with compliance processes and indirect tax filings.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications.
• Usage of automation/analytics and AI tools (e.g. Alteryx, QLIK, Gemini, or other tools).

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize deliverables with competing timelines.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $92,500.00 - $161,000.00.
