Responsibilities

  • Review ETR monthly to analyze AOP Stage and Actual Data
  • Ensure accurately, timely preparation and submission of monthly FAS109 schedules - Deferred tax calculation
  • Review& manage allVAT refund process in line with PepsiCo’s cash flow necessities
  • Provide leadership on system developments and projects. Ensure that there is a strong coordination with Finance, IT, Legal and Sales departments
  • Review the accruals in local books on a monthly basis
  • Review VAT accounts monthly to analyze the VAT declarations and VAT trend
  • Review withholding tax monthly
  • Review the non deductible expenses and the donations monthly
  • Control and post manuel local journals to verify completeness and accuracy of financial statements
  • Setup and ensure internal controls mechanisms for Tax processes
  • Follow up the new changes in tax law, statutory reporting regulations and get them applied to the transactions on time
  • Analyze Full Certification Report of the PwC semi-annually
  • Ensure and follow up process and developments regarding tax cycle with ERP team
  • Evaluate, analyse and plan developments and changes affecting the tax cycle
  • Ensure Tax Bulletin is published to the organization quarterly
  • Manage and coordinate all related Sub ledger-GL reconciliations regarding tax functions
  • Lead Tax PepsiCo COSO(SoX) process to complete necessary documentation, test via coordination of related finance teams
  • Control and manage risk analysis report sent by tax office
  • Control VAT calculation on destructed goods monthly
  • Support the month end closing reports
  • Contribute to BSR process, follow up COC on certain balance sheet items
  • Manage tax inspections either related to direct or indirect tax issues and provide advisory for direct or indirect tax issues to the other departments
  • Control statutory accounting of indirect tax transactions in order to comply with Turkish Uniform Accounting Principle
  • Identifying indirect tax risks of the company and inform related parties
  • Contribute to CF and AOP process ($90MM tax obligation on average per year)
  • Follow up court process for VAT refunds and other tax issues with legal department and tax advisors


Qualifications

  • Min 10+ years in Finance with strong accounting, tax knowledge
  • SMMM certification is preferred (or CPA/ACA)
  • University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or MBA
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS tools as well as ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP
  • Strong team and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and operational workload through correct prioritization and process simplification
