⭐ Mission

Join us as a Tax Manager and become the right hand of Qonto's Head of Tax as we transition to a regulated financial institution. You'll own day-to-day tax management across France and internationally — corporate tax, financial services taxation, VAT, product tax, and multi-jurisdiction taxation and compliance — and become the internal reference on the topics that matter most as Qonto's tax footprint scales.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Tax Manager at Qonto, you will

• Participate to the tax strategy set-up — identify and implement tax opportunities, ensure correct tax treatment is applied across the group, ensure the organizational set-up remains in line with the tax strategy.
• Assist Finance & Accounting teams on tax computation and tax accounting — supervise calculations, review declarations, ensure on-time declarations and liaise with external advisors.
• Coordinate tax compliance across Europe — partnering with the accounting team and local tax compliance advisors.
• Own product tax analysis — define applicable taxes treatment and reporting obligations for Qonto new products in France and abroad, and build the client-facing tax information that goes with it.
• Manage transfer pricing requirements, documentation, reporting and computation across the group.
• Be the bridge between tax and the rest of the company — work with Finance, Accounting, Product, and Legal teams; represent Qonto with tax authorities; manage external advisor relationships.

🤝 About your future manager You'll report to Simon Carles, Head of Tax. Simon built Qonto's tax function from the ground up, leveraging deep expertise in tax management gained both in advisory (external) and in-house roles. He will provide guidance and expertise on technical issues, on identifying tax risks and opportunities, and on the organization of a tax function.

🏅 About You

• Experience: 6-8 years in tax, ideally in a Big Four firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) or directly in a financial institution.
• Technical Mastery: Strong financial services taxation and VAT / indirect tax expertise. Solid French tax foundations, international tax knowledge, transfer pricing, advanced Excel.
• Domain Knowledge: Exposure to Credit Institution tax frameworks. Comfort dealing with tax authorities in France (and via partners abroad).
• Communication: Senior stakeholder management and strong pedagogical skills — you can make tax actionable for non-specialists.
• Languages: Fluent in English and French
• Qualifications: Advanced degree in taxation and/or finance (Master's in Tax Law, DJCE, business school, DSCG, or equivalent).
