Tax Manager – Netherlands

Based in Netherland, with a high degree of remote working flexibility available
We are looking for a Tax Manager – Netherlands to join our regional tax team. Reporting to the Regional Tax Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the Netherlands, along with a broader portfolio of additional countries aligned to your experience, technical expertise, and overall impact. This will likely include Belgium and other closed countries. The role offers strong exposure to regional and international tax topics and a real opportunity to shape the tax agenda across multiple jurisdictions.
In this role, you will lead tax planning, compliance, reporting, and tax controversy matters, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors across the countries in scope. You will also manage the Corteva holding company structure and provide international tax planning advice on potential projects.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Regional Tax Manager on regional tax projects, including M&A and corporate restructuring initiatives.
Manage the Holding Company Structure for Corteva Agriscience in EMEA, acting as the tax key contact on Treasury matters, specifically in regard to the tax cash distribution strategy
Lead and coordinate tax-driven business initiatives at local and regional level for the countries under responsibility.
Monitor new European tax directives and legislative developments, assess their impact and ensure correct implementation in the relevant countries.
Provide corporate income tax planning, reporting and advisory support for the assigned countries.
Deliver the full range of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) services, including:
Direct responsibility for CIT compliance in Netherlands.
Coordination and oversight of the CIT compliance process for the remaining countries in the portfolio, working closely with co‑sourcing partners to ensure quality, accuracy and timely delivery.
Manage tax provisioning and reporting in line with local and US GAAP requirements.
Support indirect tax compliance processes as required, in coordination with central tax teams.
Coordinate and support the preparation of local Transfer Pricing documentation.
Lead and manage tax controversy and tax audits (corporate income tax, withholding taxes, payroll taxes, etc.), including defining audit strategy.
Act as a key contact with local tax authorities and external advisors in the countries under responsibility.
Key Stakeholders
Broad exposure to all global and regional tax positions. Key interactions with: Regional Tax Manager, US Tax Team, Business Tax Managers, other Tax Managers, Director of International Tax, Tax Accounting Manager, EMEA VAT Manager and Vice President of Tax.
Business and finance stakeholders
External tax advisors and co‑sourcing partners
Qualifications & Experience
Strong experience in Dutch corporate tax, with in‑depth knowledge of Dutch tax regulations (essential).
3–6+ years of tax experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm and/or the tax department of a multinational company.
Demonstrated involvement in tax matters for other countries beyond Netherlands is highly valued.
Knowledge of international tax, tax accounting, US tax concepts and transfer pricing is an advantage.
Fluent English required; Dutch fluency assumed. Additional languages (German and/or French) are a plus.
