Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a tax calendar to ensure compliance with all external tax deadlines in various Asian tax jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate, prepare and submit the Hong Kong corporate tax return in a timely manner.
  • Review PRC corporate income tax return, Transfer Pricing forms and PRC contemporaneous documentation.
  • Assist in managing and handling tax audits, inquiries and notices from tax authorities in various Asian jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with finance teams in Hong Kong, PRC and Malaysia to prepare quarterly and annual US income tax provision calculation for Asia entities.
  • Ensure correct treatment of intercompany transactions for tax purposes.
  • Analyze and address potential tax issues related to routine operation and special transactions/ arrangements, including transfer pricing planning and compliance.
  • Assist in Ad hoc projects as assigned by the management.
  • Keep abreast of the international tax development and practices in Asia, evaluate the impact and provide analysis for discussion with Senior Management.

Knowledge / Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of international/regional tax experience with a strong focus on PRC and Hong Kong tax, particular in corporate income tax and transfer pricing. Knowledge in Malaysian tax is a plus.
  • Knowledge of indirect taxes as well as international tax principles, including tax treaties and Pillar Two.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms or a US multinational corporation is essential.
  • Recognized degree in accounting or equivalent qualification and professional qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to explain complex tax issues to non-financial and / or line business people.
  • Strong business and financial analytical skills.
  • Proficient on both written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Export Statement:
Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
