Roberts + Morrow is a progressive BRW top 50, multi-disciplinary accounting and professional services practice. The practice has grown and developed over 70 years to now have 15 partners, over 170 team members and 6 specialist divisions complementing traditional business services. Our in-house legal division is structured as an incorporated legal practice, RML Solutions Pty Ltd, focusing on providing tax and legal solutions to our clients. Our specialist team of lawyers assist their clients with strategic advice on conveyancing, estate planning, wills, succession planning and tax strategies.

JOB OPPORTUNITY!

Due to growth of the business, we have a newly created role for a full time Tax Lawyer to join our close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to share in that success and growth and have access to highly qualified tax and legal professionals to help drive your career forward. The position can be located in any of our offices including Armidale, Tamworth or Brisbane.

The role is responsible to assist in providing clients with specialist taxation advice including:

• Drafting of CGT advices and private binding ruling applications

• Drafting written advice on tax and estate planning issues

• Assisting solving tax problems for clients

• Conducting detailed research to provide accurate specialist advice

• Assisting with the implementation of settled matters

• Undertaking tax research, analysing and interpreting tax legislation

ABOUT YOU:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a tax advisory role (Legal or public practice is preferred, but not essential)

• Hold an Australian practising certificate or be eligible to apply for one

• Strong understanding of tax legislation

• Relevant degrees in Law and either Business, Commerce or Accounting

• Logical, analytical and have strong problem-solving skills
