The Tax Director will play a critical role in supporting Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP's) tax compliance and tax strategy functions. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Treasury, Tax, and Disbursements, this role ensures accurate and timely preparation of tax filings, monitors compliance with nonprofit-specific regulations, and provides guidance on tax implications for new and current state and federal initiatives. The Tax Director will also be responsible for developing a high performing team that will help support CHOP's Hospital, Research, Practice Plans, Foundation, and Corporate Services to develop and optimize tax-related processes, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk.
This position requires strong technical expertise in nonprofit tax regulations, experience working across multi-state tax jurisdictions, excellent analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, comfort with technology, and experience establishing standard processes and managing complex projects in a dynamic healthcare environment.
At this time, a defined next-level career path has not been established for this role. However, the position offers significant leadership exposure, strategic influence, and opportunities to shape the tax function across the organization.
This position is primarily remote and is expected to remain remote long term.

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
