How You’ll Contribute:

Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Tax Controversy Senior Manager to join our dynamic team of Tax Controversy professionals. Our Senior Managers supervise staff and lead several complex engagements at the same time.

  • Support IRS examinations, collections, and penalty matters, including preparing responses to IDRs and notices, and representing clients before the IRS Independent Office of Appeals
  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare private letter ruling requests
  • Manage engagements end-to-end, including proposals, budgeting, WIP management, billing, and collections
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff while maintaining high technical standards
  • Identify client needs and contribute to achieving team and individual performance and financial objectives
  • Demonstrate leadership through professionalism, collaboration, and involvement in professional, business, or community organizations

Requirements

What Skills You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience with tax and/or legal research projects with a focus in tax controversy
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working for the IRS, as an attorney, or within a public accounting firm
  • CPA, EA, or JD. LL.M preferred.
  • Experience juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Adept at handling client relationships, independently

  • Ability to work overtime during peak times of the year
