This position performs complex accounting support to the activities of the Tax Division of the Management and Finance Department.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required, will be considered. however, the following is preferred:
TESTING: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required computer, typing, and/or written tests administered.
Considerable knowledge of: Tax regulations and procedures; knowledge of tax filing systems and account classifications; knowledge of standard office machines and practices; proficiency in keyboarding skills; Ability to: operate a calculator and to make arithmetic calculations of a moderately complex nature; ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and the public; works under the supervision of an administrative supervisor; Skill in: the use of modern office equipment that includes automated equipment and systems; ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms; provide training to employees relating to tax/accounting systems and procedures; prepare detailed tax, fiscal, and statistical records and reports; work independently or within a team unit; efficiently organize time to meet deadlines; use judgment and maintain confidentiality in dealing with employees and the public; courteously meet and deal effectively with the public, outside agencies and employees.
