As a Tax & Assurance Advisor at Platform Accounting Group, you will engage in diverse public accounting tasks, including tax preparation, financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, and consulting. What you will do:

• Prepare work papers and perform audit/review/compilation procedures for assurance engagements
• Prepare financial statements (including full footnote disclosures) for assurance engagements
• Perform high level analytic analysis on client financial data
• Determine and recommend corrections to client’s books/records to be in accordance with GAAP
• Utilize various trial balance, depreciation, tax and other software to prepare tax returns and organize assurance documentation
• Prepare and self-review a wide variety of tax returns such as S corporations, C Corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, individuals and trusts)

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on accounting; candidate should have taken classes sufficient to be able to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam
• 0 - 3 years’ experience in the public accounting industry
• CPA license preferred or actively working towards
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills
• Proficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proactive problem solving and ability to self-manage projects
• Experience with Ultra Tax and Checkpoint Engage a plus
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel
