We are on a growth journey – now looking for an Tax Associate/Accountant (m/f/d) in part time to support our the Dometic Vehicle Outfitters business unit.

Dometic Vehicle Outfitters EU GmbH is one of the leading premium manufacturers of off-road vehicle accessories, 4x4 equipment, and camping gear. About the Position

As a Tax Associate / Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting tax, VAT, and accounting activities within our German operations. Working closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors, you will help ensure compliance, support reporting processes, and contribute to key business initiatives.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Support tax-related projects, audits, and business initiatives.
  • Prepare VAT returns, Intrastat and intra-community reporting (ZM), OSS filings, and UK VAT returns.
  • Act as a key contact for day-to-day VAT questions, working with local teams and external advisors.
  • Assist with VAT audits and regulatory inquiries through documentation and coordination.
  • Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and general ledger postings.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and statutory reporting under German GAAP (HGB).
  • Contribute to group reporting, tax reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Process payments and support cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Coordinate financial information for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Finance, HR, Purchasing, Production, and Sales, as well as with auditors, tax authorities, suppliers, and external advisors.

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

  • Experience in accounting, tax, VAT, or finance administration.
  • Good understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of German VAT regulations and German GAAP (HGB).
