Job Description

We are looking to hire a " Tax Assistant" for one of our client companies in Colombo.

Requirements

• Full or Part qualified in CIMA / ACCA / CA Sri Lanka.
• Minimum 01-02 years experience. Preferably in an Audit Firm.
• Experience in handling tax due diligence would be an added advantage
• Strong grasp of business and technical issues, industry trends and practices.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments independently.
• Excellent command in English.
• Dedicated team player with excellent leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with their direct and indirect tax compliance requirements and recommend solutions that support their overall business objectives.
• Support clients to ensure they are consistent with good business practices and with the applicable tax laws and rules.
• Preparation and/or approval of tax computations and returns for clients.
• Advising on clients' payments, lodging appeals or objections and following up on these matters with the Inland Revenue Department.
• Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions that private equity and strategic corporate entities pursue.
• Managing multiple relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to grow the business.
• Prepare reports, presentations, participate and contribute at client meetings.
• Contribute to learning and education by participating in internal and external training and becoming a subject matter expert in tax laws and regulations.
