The Tax Analyst Senior / Principal is responsible for preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, work papers and analysis; preparing and/or reviewing forecast, budget and regulatory information; and, computing and/or reviewing and recording taxes.
This position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic tax operations function while contributing to compliance, reporting, and process efficiency efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a team-focused environment.
What You'll Do:
Prepare/review state and local transaction tax and property tax (non-income) returns, reports, estimates, work papers, and analyses.
Prepare/review non-income tax schedules for financial reports, forecasts, regulatory filings, and special studies.
Prepare/review analyses and work papers to support monthly recording and reporting of non-income tax accruals, including the reconciliation of tax accrual accounts.
Actively participate and initiate continuous process improvement projects, including the utilization of technology tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, etc.
Monitor non-income tax legislative, administrative, and judicial developments across the U.S. and determine how proposed and enacted changes will affect the company.
Conduct tax research and planning related to business activities and identify tax risks. Work closely with business and Tax Planning Manager to understand new product initiatives and advise on the applicability of non-income tax laws.
Research issues/questions and prepare written analysis and conclusions.
Participate in the federal, state and local tax audit process including the preparation and review of responses to auditors' questions, and review and prepare responses to audit assessments.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
Four (4) years' in total work experience in business, finance, or accounting disciplines with two (2) years' in tax. ( Tax Analyst Senior)
Five (5) years’ in total work experience in business, finance, or accounting disciplines with three (3) years' in tax. ( Tax Analyst Principal)
Other Must Haves:
Required License(s)/Certification(s): Progress toward professional certification preferred.
Physical demand level is Sedentary.

This is an On-Site role based out of either Columbus, OH or Canton, OH.
