Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in corporate tax.

Preferred qualifications:

• ACA or CTA Qualified.
• Experience in technology and data analytics tools.
• Experience in applicable tax matters, tax laws, and tax attributes.
• Excellent project management, tax research, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance advisory activities across Alphabet's UK operations and international markets, including oversight of tax incentive claims to the UK group.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in finance, legal, tax and treasury on various tax matters, including controversy where applicable.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks by implementing and monitoring tax controls and procedures.
• Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on business decisions, transactions and risks, while staying informed of changes in global tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Drive continuous review and improve tax compliance processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
