This Position reports to:

National Director of Taxation

Responsibilities

• Supervise information request for the tax processes
• Extract and manipulate financial data to fulfill tax requirements
• Standardize template & tools for all ABB legal entities
• Develop a strong understanding of application functionality from the user’s perspective to improve Tax processes
• Identify recurring issues and collaborate with various stakeholders to rectify and document the internal process
• Support tax audit information request
• Contribute ideas to enhance operational tax workflows, user experience, or support processes
• Escalate issues with significant efficiency and/or tax impact with thorough documentation and clarity

Skills and Experience

• Creativity in data manipulation in excel and PowerBI
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate and document technical issues into language understandable.
• Demonstrated a collaborative approach and ability to build professional relationships
• Experience with one or more of the following is considered a strong asset: SAP, Tax provision preparation in Longview software, TaxPrep

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA designation (asset)
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Accounting
• Advanced Tax Training (In-Depth Tax Course or equivalent are assets)
• Experience in tax provision (US GAAP)
• Bilingualism (French/English) mandatory in a global context. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.

Technological skills

• Mastery of corporate ERP (SAP S/4HANA, HFM, Abacus)
• Experience with tax modules and financial consolidation
• Strong data analysis capacity via: SQL / extraction tools, Power Query / Power BI / Tableau
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, automation, VBA)
• Use of tax software: Taxprep, OneSource, Longview Tax (major asset)
• Good understanding of internal controls (SOX 404) and data governance
