Our award-winning client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. Lead as a Tax Manager, steering multiple client engagements, fostering collaboration among staff, supervising and mentoring accountants, reviewing diverse tax returns, specializing in Estate and Trusts, providing financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, managing complex tax preparations, resolving government notices, conducting tax research, overseeing workflow, and delivering client-focused communications.

Responsibilities:

• As a Tax Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing multiple engagements to meet client deliverables.
• Collaboration is key, and you will work seamlessly with all levels of staff on client engagements.
• In a supervisory role, you will oversee staff accountants concurrently across multiple engagements, evaluating their progress and providing necessary training and mentorship.
• Your role extends to reviewing complex and multi-state corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and individual income tax returns, including 1040's, 1041's, 1120's, and 1065's.
• A strong understanding of Estate and Trusts is essential, with a focus on financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, covering estates, gifting, and IRA planning.
• In addition to assuming tax preparation responsibility for more intricate returns, you will manage and assist in resolving tax notices and examinations with government agencies.
• Tax research and training on various related topics will be part of your routine, as well as reviewing year-end tax projections, and quarterly estimates, and developing tax planning strategies.
• Directly overseeing and managing workflow, client relationships, and a team of professionals will be central to your responsibilities.
• Your role extends to providing educational client-focused communications and webinars as needed, showcasing strong technical taxation skills and the ability to form lasting client relationships.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 to 5+ years of public accounting experience leading multiple engagements.
• CPA preferred/required with a diversified tax background.
• Working knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, Engagement, and QuickBooks.
• Team player with leadership and staff development skills.
• Effective communicator with problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
