Tax Accountant

Our client is a well-established public practice accounting firm based in the picturesque suburb of Parkside, renowned for delivering top-tier tax accounting and advisory services The firm works with a diverse clientele including individuals, small businesses, and trusts providing tailored financial guidance and full compliance with Australian tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
• Assist with BAS, GST, and FBT preparation and lodgment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and review financial records and reports in line with accounting standards.
• Conduct tax research and stay up to date with changes in Australian taxation laws.
• Support the delivery of tax planning and advisory services, offering proactive client solutions.
• Ensure all documentation and lodgments are completed accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with and learn from senior tax accountants, contributing to team development and client satisfaction.
  

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Australian Taxation including Tax Returns, BAS, GST, and FBT.
• Experience using MYOB AE (Accountants Enterprise) or similar accounting software.
• Prior experience in public practice accounting in Australia.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking studies.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and client service skills.
