Task Project Manager III – Nuclear (Refueling Outage Support)

Location: Farley Nuclear Plant ,Columbia, AL
Contract - 1 Year

Work Schedule

• 4x10 schedule (four 10-hour days) until outage.
• 12-hour shifts during refueling outage
• Must be available for night shift during outage periods.

We are seeking an experienced Task Project Manager III to oversee nuclear plant projects and task execution, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

This role will support outage and in-containment work activities and requires strong field presence, coordination skills, and nuclear project leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Task Oversight

• Oversee assigned projects or task scopes to ensure execution aligns with approved project plans.
• Track project progress and coordinate required resources.
• Monitor schedules and ensure milestone completion.

Field Execution & Safety

• Perform field observations to ensure safe job performance.
• Ensure work complies with nuclear regulatory and quality standards.
• Maintain strong communication with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams.

Outage Support

• Support refueling outage activities.
• Provide leadership during 12-hour shift outage schedules.
• Manage work activities inside Containment when required.

Preferred Experience

• Project Lead or Task Director experience at Farley Nuclear Plant (highly preferred).
• Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) Replacement experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with:
  • Projects inside Containment
  • Refueling outages
  • Nuclear plant modifications

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing tasks and projects in the energy sector.
• Experience supporting nuclear plant projects or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours during outages, including night shifts.
