Job Description

Oversee and manage the chartering operations, focusing on securing vessels for transportation needs.
Negotiate charter parties and contracts to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
Monitor market trends and analyze shipping demands to optimize chartering strategies.
Maintain strong relationships with brokers, ship owners, and clients to ensure smooth chartering processes.
Coordinate vessel scheduling and port rotations to align with contractual obligations.
Manage and administer Charter Party Agreements (CPA) and contracts to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies or related field is preferred.
Minimum 3-7 years of experience in tankers chartering or similar shipping operations.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing beneficial charter agreements.
Good market research abilities to identify competitive chartering opportunities.
Proficient in calculating and pricing shipping deals effectively.
Ability to manage and develop client relationships, including brokers and vessel owners.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
