
As a tanker trailer technician for cargo tank repair and testing your primary responsibilities are to perform external visual, internal visual, pressure, and leak tests on DOT specified tankers. You will also be responsible for tank testing on Hazardous Material certified tanks such as vac trucks, hydro excavators, oil tankers, guzzlers, tanker trailers, cargo tanks and more.
Pay rate depending on experience.
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
· Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
· The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a trailer
· Tank service and repair
· Knowledge of air brake systems and repairs
· A working knowledge ABS systems
· TIG/MIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
· Willing to train through our apprentice program
Experience:
· Tank Valve Repair or Replacement: 1 year (preferred)
· Tanker Air Systems Repair: 1 year (preferred)
· Tank Trailer Repair: 1 year (preferred)
· Trailer Brake System Repair: 1 year (preferred)
· Trailer Electrical Lighting Repair: 1 year (preferred)
· Trailer Suspension Repair: 1 year (preferred)
· MIG Welding: 1 year (preferred)
· TIG Welding: 1 year (preferred)
Minimum Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Valid driver’s license
· Legally eligible to work in the United State
· Able to pass a background check
· Able to pass a drug screen
· Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
· Must provide own tools that are adequate to perform job functions
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
40 hours of pay minimum (1.5 pay after 40 hours)
Occasional Saturday work when needed (non-mandatory)
