Salary £28,142 - £32,061 Per annum (Pro Rata) | Permanent| Part-Time 29.6 hours per week

Join our Talkzone Team, where every conversation can change a life.

Talkzone is a dynamic, confidential advice service supporting young people aged 11–25, as well as parents and carers. Operating 365 days a year (2pm–10pm), we provide support through phone, text, email, and webchat, connecting with people when they feel most comfortable.

A rolling rota: 5 days on, 5 days off
Evening shifts between 2pm – 10pm

Service runs 7 days a week, all year round

As a Talkzone Worker, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced and rewarding service:

  • Providing advice, guidance, and support via phone, text, email, and online chat
  • Building instant rapport with young people and families, often in challenging situations
  • Signposting to the right services to meet individual needs
  • Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and sensitive issues
  • Recording interactions and maintaining accurate case information
  • Conducting follow-up calls and collecting user feedback
  • Supporting social media engagement and maintaining up-to-date service information
  • Working both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • An excellent communicator with strong listening skills
  • Able to think quickly and respond effectively under pressure
  • Skilled in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people, and families
  • Experience (or ability) working directly with young people or families
  • Ability to build rapport without face-to-face contact

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
