The University of Notre Dame is more than a workplace! We are a vibrant, mission-driven community where every employee is valued and supported. Rooted in a tradition of excellence and inspired by our Catholic character, Notre Dame is committed to fostering an environment of care that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Here, you will find a deep sense of belonging, a culture that prioritizes well-being, and the opportunity to grow your career while being a force for good in the world. Whether contributing to world-class research, shaping the student experience, or supporting the University’s mission in other ways, you will be part of a dedicated team working to make a meaningful impact on campus and beyond. At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!
The earliest years of a child's life lay the foundation for lifelong learning, relationships, and success. At the University of Notre Dame, the Talk With Your Baby (TWYB) program empowers parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to nurture healthy brain development and early literacy from birth through age three. By translating the latest research into practical, everyday interactions, TWYB helps families build stronger connections and brighter futures for their children.
As the Director of Parenting Programs (Talk With Your Baby Program Director), you will provide the vision and leadership that drives this impactful community initiative. You'll oversee program strategy, operations, evaluation, and future growth while leading a dedicated team committed to improving outcomes for children and families throughout our community.
Working collaboratively with Notre Dame's Center for Broader Impacts, local nonprofit organizations, the City of South Bend, and other community partners, you'll expand the reach of TWYB, strengthen its curriculum, and develop innovative online resources that make evidence-based parenting education more accessible than ever.
What You'll Do
Why This Role Matters
Every conversation between a caregiver and a child has the potential to shape a lifetime of learning. As Director of Parenting Programs, you'll help ensure that more families have access to research-based strategies that strengthen early brain development, build language and literacy skills, and create lasting opportunities for children to thrive.
If you're passionate about early childhood development, community engagement, strategic leadership, and creating meaningful impact for families, we invite you to join Notre Dame in helping children reach their fullest potential - one conversation at a time.
