The Opportunity

As the Talent Engagement Specialist, you’ll play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping how current and future employees experience Metrolinx as an employer. You’ll help bring our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to life through compelling content, smart campaigns, and data‑driven insights by partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Internal Communications, Inclusion, and other teams across the organization.

You will balance creativity with analytics, autonomy with collaboration, and big‑picture thinking with thoughtful execution.

If you’re someone who understands recruiting at its core, loves building brands that feel human and authentic, and is excited by the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and analytics, then this would be a great opportunity for you.

This role is an in‑office position (5 days per week) based at our downtown Toronto location. Our HR team is highly collaborative, and much of our work benefits from in‑person co‑creation, relationship‑building, and hands‑on partnership with leaders across the organization.

What You Will Do

Impact Internal Engagement & Mobility

  • Maintain content calendars, monitor sentiment, and engage with audiences across platforms.

Build & Activate Our Employer Brand

  • Support the ongoing evolution of Metrolinx’s Employer Value Proposition and translate insights into clear messaging frameworks and visual identity across talent touchpoints.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across channels, including our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and employer branding platforms.

Deliver Recruitment Marketing Campaigns

  • Build and execute omnichannel recruitment marketing campaigns (paid social, programmatic, email nurtures) aligned to key hiring priorities.
  • Partner with recruiters to understand hiring needs, priority profiles, and candidate personas.
  • Create email campaigns and talent community communications, including workflow messaging, candidate engagement, and monthly performance insights.

Data & Analytics

  • Track, analyze, and report on recruitment marketing and employer brand performance.
  • Maintain and update BI dashboards, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports outlining wins, opportunities, and challenges.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally beginning in recruiting or talent acquisition and evolving into employer brand, recruitment marketing, or talent engagement.
  • Completion of a diploma in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the end‑to‑end candidate experience and hiring lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and executing recruitment marketing or employer brand campaigns.
  • Confidence working across social media, digital platforms, email campaigns, and content management systems.
  • A data‑informed mindset. Comfortable using metrics and dashboards to tell performance stories.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders.
