The Talent Development Partner partners with business leaders, and key stakeholders to assess needs, design, deliver, and continuously improve Taco's Employee Success Programs, including onboarding, performance development, manager development, and future behavioral development initiatives. The role serves as a strategic partner in strengthening leadership and organizational capability through learning, coaching, performance development, and global leadership competency deployment. This position analyzes organizational needs, develops and facilitates learner-centered development solutions, evaluates program effectiveness, and supports the alignment of talent development and talent management practices that build leadership capability and contribute to a high-performance culture.

Measures of success:

  • Defined impact on business and talent outcomes (e.g., engagement, promotion and retention.
    Design learner-centered programs that leverage adult learning principles to drive engagement, development and behavioral change. Learning effectiveness measured through participant feedback, skill gains, and behavior change.
  • Continuous improvement of employee success programs and talent development practices shown by increased program performance and implemented feedback evaluation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Talent Development

  • Facilitates instructor-led, coaching, and on-the-job learning experiences with employees at all levels of the organization to build leadership capability, professional effectiveness, and performance.
  • Supports, the design, facilitation, and delivery of Employee Success Programs (ESP) including Onboarding, Performance Development Program, and Manager Development Program.
  • Creates and delivers participant and stakeholder communications that support program awareness, engagement and successful learning outcomes.
  • Leads the selection, preparation, delivery and evaluation of external vendors supporting ESP’s and leadership development initiatives.
  • Conducts participant and stakeholder feedback activities, report findings to executive and senior management, and recommend improvements to enhance experience.
  • Debriefs learning and development experiences, tracks and reports program metrics to enhance learning and behavioral change.
  • Conducts Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Kirkpatrick evaluations to assess learning effectiveness, behavior change, and participant outcomes.
  • Identifies and plans instructional strategies and learning objectives, curricula, and learning activities that support learning engagement, skill development and behavior change.
  • Delivers coaching sessions with employees and managers within designated time frame to ensure optimal outcomes; facilitates follow-on programming and reinforcement activities to strengthen skill application.
  • Leverages Development Dimensions International DDI principles, Taco leadership competencies, adult learning theory and coaching practices to deliver highly effective leadership skill building experiences with participants.
  • Facilitates and administers the process of creating and implementing learning and development programs; delivers and drives sustainable learning outcomes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learning partners to develop learning experiences, events and training materials based on assessed needs and evaluation findings.
  • Applies project and program management practices to coordinate complex talent development initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, timelines, communications, budgets, documentation, participant engagement and program outcomes to ensure successful execution and continuous improvement.

Talent Management

  • Design and implement global initiatives that deploy, reinforce, and sustain Taco leadership competencies and values across employee populations, business functions and geographic regions.
  • Promotes and execute the company's talent management strategy processes and programs to strengthen organization capability and enhance a high-performance culture.
  • Utilizes employee, manager, and program feedback data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in talent development and employee experience initiatives.
  • Documents learning processes and produces business operation system (BOS) resources related to responsibilities.
  • Tracks training documents for ISO compliance.
  • Serves as backup for the Content Learning Management System (CLMS) to manage course logistics, complete documentation, and acts as liaison for troubleshooting system problems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, organization development, communication, education or related field; advanced degree preferred. Significant applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years of experience in learning and development, leadership and talent development with coaching experience
  • DDI Certified or capable of being certified
  • Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification preferred
  • Experience designing, facilitating and evaluating leadership and performance management programs required; experience with learning technologies, virtual learning platforms and authoring tools a plus
  • Highly disciplined and experienced with project management planning tools
  • Proficient in applying adult learning principles
  • Knowledge of foundational learning theories
  • Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning principles, instructional design practices (e.g., ADDIE),
  • Proven effectiveness in collaborating with diverse employee levels
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time for live training or coaching sessions
  • Able to travel 20% of time across North America

Work Environment:

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

Hybrid - This position may work from home up to 1X/week if performance is in good standing.

Management:

This position has no direct reports.
