Job Description

Leidos is seeking a high-impact Talent Champion to support our Application Modernization capability, driving the identification, engagement, and hiring of top-tier technical talent aligned to our most critical programs and growth priorities.

This role goes beyond traditional recruiting, serving as a strategic partner to leadership, owning talent strategy for a defined capability, and building proactive pipelines of cleared and non-cleared technical professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Own talent strategy for the Application Modernization capability, aligning recruiting efforts to business priorities, growth initiatives, and workforce plans
  • Champion internal talent first, ensuring qualified internal candidates are identified, engaged, and considered early in the hiring process
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and Capability Leaders to shape hiring demand, influence skill requirements, and develop targeted hiring strategies
  • Build and maintain high-quality, proactive pipelines of technical talent, including passive candidates
  • Lead full lifecycle recruiting across funded efforts, including sourcing, screening, interview management, offer negotiation, and closing
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights on market trends, talent availability, and competitive positioning
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience, effectively communicating Leidos’ mission, impact, and value proposition
  • Track and manage key recruiting metrics including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and conversion rates
  • May collaborate with the Sourcing COE and New Business teams to ensure pipeline readiness for priority captures and programs

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of talent acquisition experience (May consider extra years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Proven success recruiting for technical skill sets
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain passive talent pipelines for complex technical roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and guide hiring decisions
  • Experience developing and executing targeted sourcing strategies in competitive talent markets
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong sense of ownership and urgency
  • Proficiency with ATS and CRM tools (Workday experience preferred)
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain Secret security clearance

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience recruiting in the cleared DoD / IC environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with modern software development ecosystems and emerging technologies
  • Strong storytelling ability to engage and convert passive candidates
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
