Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the recruitment function by managing day-to-day hiring activities and ensuring a positive, efficient experience for prospective candidates across all Traffic Management Inc. (TMI) locations. This role assists with all stages of the recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordination, and onboarding support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams
- Collaborate with hiring managers and team members to confirm position requirements and recruitment needs
- Create, post, and maintain job requisitions for internal and external candidates
- Source, review, and screen resumes with strong attention to minimum qualifications and job requirements
- Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews using established interviewing tools and techniques to assess candidate eligibility, qualifications, and availability
- Schedule and coordinate interviews based on business needs, averaging 15–17 candidate interviews daily
- Prepare recruitment materials, including job descriptions, screening assessments, and interview questions
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interviews and applications using spreadsheets and the ATSSA system
- Develop, monitor, and maintain an active applicant pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Communicate with departments regarding anticipated start dates, compensation, position status, and new hire orientation scheduling
- Coordinate calendar invitations for interviews, job fairs, and hiring events
- Run background checks, including driver’s license verification and motor vehicle record reviews, as applicable
- Ensure confidentiality of all candidate and employee information
- Manage recruiting spreadsheets and ensuring location details, addresses, and points of contact are current and accurate
- Follow up with candidates and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication and turnaround throughout the hiring process
- Exercise sound judgment, initiative, and discretion throughout the recruitment process
- Provide additional support for onboarding activities and front desk operations as needed
- Travel up to 20% for job fairs and hiring events
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Demonstrated critical thinking, flexibility, sound judgment, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based applications
Equipment Used
- Standard office equipment, including computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, copier, and fax machine
- Motor vehicle (must be able to drive as required)
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift to 20 pounds
- Frequent use of hands for handling, controlling, or lifting objects
- Repetitive motion associated with computer and office tasks
- Exposure to typical office noise levels
- Ability to perform essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience required
- Two (2) years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience strongly preferred
