The Role

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who can find exceptional technical talent, move fast, and make hiring a genuine competitive advantage for a scaling product company.

What you will be doing

• You'll own the full recruitment lifecycle across our Software Engineering & Platform teams, hiring for roles including Backend Engineering, Frontend Engineering, Java (Payments), React Native, DevOps, QA Automation, and Engineering Leadership, from initial briefing through to offer acceptance.

• You'll build proactive talent pipelines for hard-to-fill technical roles, so we're never starting from zero.

• You'll develop creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, and whatever else works — with a particular focus on engaging passive candidates.

• You'll run structured, competency-based interviews and contribute meaningfully to technical capability assessments alongside the hiring team.

• You'll manage all recruitment activity in Ashby, keeping candidate journeys smooth, well-documented, and consistently excellent.

What we are looking for

• A proven track record in in-house or agency technical recruitment, with solid experience hiring across software engineering and related disciplines.

• Deep sourcing capability — you know how to identify, engage, and convert passive candidates who aren't actively looking.

• Confident stakeholder management skills; you're comfortable partnering with senior hiring managers and pushing back when needed.

• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple technical vacancies simultaneously without dropping the ball, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills — you go beyond the CV.

• Hands-on experience with a modern ATS; Ashby experience is a real advantage.
