Talent Acquisition Specialist - German-speaking

To strengthen our Talent Acquisition capabilities and grow our presence across German-speaking part of Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced, business-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist with exceptional interpersonal skills. This role will be based in either Zurich, Berne or Luzern.

In this role, you will build trusted relationships with business leaders and hiring managers, understand complex operational and talent needs, and translate them into targeted recruitment and sourcing strategies across our engineering and professional services business.

Working closely with leaders, HR colleagues and the wider TA team, you will play a visible role in shaping and strengthening our recruitment approach across the region, sharing expertise, challenging ourselves to improve, and delivering outstanding outcomes for candidates, hiring managers and the business

Your Impact

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across a diverse range of roles and business areas, acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and HR colleagues. You will bring market insight, creative sourcing approaches, and a strong candidate focus to every stage of the recruitment journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead end-to-end recruitment: Act as a trusted talent advisor to leaders and hiring managers, developing a strong understanding of their operations, projects, teams and talent challenges. Challenge and advise stakeholders where appropriate, translate workforce requirements into effective recruitment strategies, and oversee the process from briefing and attraction through to offer.
• Attract and engage talent: Build diverse talent pipelines for both intern and professional hiring, using LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, direct sourcing, and other channels. Create compelling job advertisements, conduct candidate screening, and ensure a positive and inclusive candidate experience.
• Build strong partnerships: Develop and maintain strong external talent networks across the Swiss engineering, consulting, construction and infrastructure markets. Bring up-to-date knowledge of the external talent landscape, key competitors and candidate pools, and proactively identify and engage professionals who may not be actively looking for a new opportunity. Use direct sourcing, LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals and targeted market approaches to bring high-quality external talent into WSP and build sustainable pipelines for critical skills.
• Represent and strengthen our employer brand: Act as an ambassador for WSP across the Swiss market, supporting employer branding initiatives, career fairs, early-career engagement, recruitment campaigns, and other activities that help us attract exceptional talent.
• Contribute to our TA community: Collaborate closely with the wider Central Europe Talent Acquisition team, sharing knowledge and best practice, contributing to process improvements, and helping shape innovative approaches to recruitment across the region.

What You'll Bring

• Several years of Talent Acquisition, Recruitment or Executive Search experience, ideally within engineering, consulting, construction, infrastructure or another technical/professional services environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the confidence and maturity to partner with senior leaders and operational managers.
• Strong business curiosity and the ability to understand operational environments, projects and technical talent requirements, rather than approaching recruitment solely from an HR perspective.
• An established network within the Swiss talent market, ideally across engineering, consulting, construction or infrastructure, together with strong knowledge of relevant candidate markets and competitors.
• A strong track record in proactive/direct sourcing and headhunting, including successfully approaching and engaging passive candidates.
• The ability to provide market intelligence and talent insights that help business leaders make informed recruitment decisions.
• Strong experience in employer branding and/or representing an organisation externally at professional events, universities, career fairs, industry networks or similar forums.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing actively to an international Talent Acquisition team.
• Fluent German and English (mandatory).
• French language skills are considered a strong asset.
