Job Description

The Opportunity

PharmaChoice Canada is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment across our network of independent pharmacy owners in Canada.

This role is primarily focused on pharmacist and pharmacy manager recruitment, while also supporting other pharmacy team hiring needs, including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, temporary and relief professionals, and, where appropriate, future ownership and succession-related opportunities.

This is an opportunity to support one of the most significant operational challenges in community pharmacy today: access to talent. The successful candidate will provide practical recruitment support that helps member pharmacies attract strong candidates, improve hiring outcomes, and navigate a highly competitive labour market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support recruitment for member pharmacies, with primary focus on pharmacists and pharmacy managers
  • Support additional hiring needs including technicians, assistants, temporary and relief professionals, and future ownership or succession-related opportunities where appropriate
  • Develop practical recruitment strategies for active searches
  • Draft, post, and manage job ads across major recruitment platforms
  • Source candidates through direct outreach, referrals, professional networks, databases, university outreach, career fairs, and other channels
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for difficult-to-fill and high-priority roles
  • Conduct initial candidate screening and present qualified shortlists
  • Coordinate interviews, scheduling, candidate communication, and follow-up
  • Provide guidance on compensation expectations, market competitiveness, and offer positioning
  • Assist with offer development and negotiations
  • Maintain the PharmaChoice Canada Career Pathfinder platform and related candidate records
  • Support job description updates, recruitment materials, outreach activity, and recruitment reporting

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or workforce planning
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Experience recruiting for professional roles; healthcare, pharmacy, or other hard-to-fill recruitment experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate assessment skills
  • Ability to provide practical guidance on compensation expectations and offer competitiveness
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a defined volume of active openings within normal full-time workload expectations
  • Ability to work effectively with independent business owners, candidates, and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with university outreach, career fairs, and recruitment events is an asset
  • Familiarity with community pharmacy operations or healthcare workforce challenges is a strong asset

Working Arrangement:

  • Remote or Halifax-based, depending on the candidate
  • Travel required for career fairs, university outreach, member-facing activity, and other recruitment-related events

Compensation and Benefits:

PharmaChoice Canada offers a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
