The Sourcing Specialist is a proactive, market-savvy talent hunter responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment across varied niche portfolios. This person goes beyond traditional job boards, builds pipelines before demand, involved in recruitment campaigns and thrives managing multiple roles simultaneously, all while keeping stakeholders informed and metrics on track. The ideal candidate will join a team of Senior Talent Acquisition Specialists.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A talent hunter — energised by finding candidates others can't, across platforms others don't use
  • Comfortable juggling 10–15 active roles without losing pace, quality or stakeholder confidence
  • Creative in campaign design; rigorous in tracking performance and optimising based on data
  • Deep knowledge of the technology talent markets — who the players are and how to compete for the same candidates
  • High ownership, genuine urgency, strong attention to detail and uncompromising professionalism

Key Performance Areas

1. Recruitment Delivery

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle — advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, vetting and offer — within agreed SLAs
  • Manage all activity accurately in Workday ATS and ensure employment equity compliance

2. Proactive Sourcing & Pipeline Building

  • Source beyond job boards — GitHub, Stack Overflow, tech communities, developer forums, LinkedIn and direct outreach
  • Build hire-ready pipelines for recurring, niche and hard-to-fill roles, particularly in financial services technology
  • Engage passive candidates and convert market intelligence into active candidate relationships

3. Future Talent & Early Careers

  • Design and execute graduate and school leaver recruitment campaigns informed by the values and aspirations of each talent segment
  • Propose evidence-based channel and media selections — career fairs, university partnerships, campus activations and digital platforms
  • Draft candidate-facing communications, event materials and agency briefings; track campaign performance and optimise

4. Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers and HRBPs throughout — proactive updates, no surprises
  • Manage external Search Partners and assessment providers; coordinate onboarding for all placed candidates

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Report on TTH, Vacancy Age Analysis, source of hire and offer acceptance rates; identify and escalate process risks proactively

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Matric; tertiary qualification in HR or related field advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years' full-cycle TA sourcing experience — financial services or technology strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting specialist technical roles (engineering, data, architecture, product)
  • Workday or comparable ATS proficiency; strong MS Office / Excel skills
  • Skilled in non-traditional sourcing — tech communities, developer forums, direct outreach
