Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Recruiter, located in Shanghai or Shenzen, China

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Recruiter plays a key role in attracting, assessing, and hiring talent to support DePuy Synthes’ business priorities in the local market. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to deliver high‑quality, compliant, and timely hiring outcomes while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The position contributes directly to building strong teams, supporting business growth, and strengthening DePuy Synthes’ employer brand in a competitive and regulated talent environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer support.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Source candidates using multiple channels, including job boards, referrals, databases, and direct sourcing techniques.
• Screen and assess candidates against job requirements to ensure quality and fit.
• Coordinate interview processes and support timely hiring decisions.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data in applicant tracking systems.
• Deliver a positive, inclusive candidate experience aligned with DePuy Synthes values.
• Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and reporting.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Postgraduate qualification in HR or Talent Management is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• Typically 2–4 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR roles.
• Experience managing full‑cycle recruitment for multiple roles simultaneously.
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience recruiting in a shared services, corporate, or global environment.
• Exposure to hiring for technical, corporate, or operations roles.
• Experience using data and metrics to improve recruiting outcomes.
• Familiarity with employer branding or recruitment marketing activities.
• Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated industries.

Other:

• Languages: Chineese and English proficiency are required.
• Travel: Minimal travel expected, up to 10% domestically.
• Certifications: Talent acquisition or HR certifications are preferred.
