Talent Acquisition Partner - Restoration

Description

As a Talent Acquisition Partner at Cotton, you will use creativity, strategic recruiting vision, and strong organizational skills to manage full-cycle recruitment for professional and general labor roles supporting disaster recovery and property restoration operations. You will source, identify, and secure top talent for leadership and specialized positions at our headquarters and for field-based storm response and restoration projects. You will also serve as a backup for general labor hiring, ensuring we can mobilize quality candidates quickly when events demand it. Because much of our workforce is Spanish-speaking, you will recruit and communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Restoration Role Recruitment

• Lead Full Lifecycle Recruitment: Oversee the entire recruiting process for professional and restoration roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
• Collaborate with Executives and Senior Leaders: Partner with leadership to define role scope, build assessment plans, and align hiring with business objectives and anticipated storm and catastrophe activity.
• Strategic Sourcing and Talent Pipelines: Build and manage pipelines of restoration, construction, and emergency response talent using inclusive sourcing strategies that attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities.
• Market Mapping and Research: Research and benchmark leadership and specialized talent across the disaster recovery, restoration, and mitigation industries, including project managers, estimators, HSE professionals, and field supervisors.
• Adjust and Optimize Recruiting Strategies: Adapt strategies to shifting business needs, seasonal surges, and market trends, using data to improve hiring outcomes.

Lead for Professional Openings and Surge Hiring Support

• Filling Critical Gaps: Serve as lead recruiter for professional roles across the enterprise and as backup for general labor roles, including rapid-response hiring during storm and catastrophe events.
• Proactive Talent Pools: Develop and maintain a pool of passive and rapid-deploy candidates, ready to engage when new projects and opportunities arise.

Talent Advisory and Stakeholder Collaboration

• Business Partnership: Work closely with hiring managers and operations leaders to understand staffing needs and write job descriptions for professional and general labor roles.
• Interview Process Guidance: Guide interview panels and hiring teams to ensure consistency, preparation, and alignment with company culture and role requirements.
• Training and Coaching: Coach hiring managers and junior recruiters on best practices for interviewing, sourcing, and candidate evaluation.

Employer Branding and Candidate Engagement

• Branding and Social Media Presence: Partner with marketing and HR to promote Cotton Holdings’ employer brand on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and industry networks, with messaging that reflects our role in helping communities recover after disasters.
• Candidate Experience: Provide a smooth, inclusive, and transparent process, with regular communication and clear expectations from first contact through onboarding.

Process Improvement and Reporting

• Talent Acquisition Metrics: Track and report on time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rates, and speed of deployment for field roles.
• Innovate and Improve Processes: Continuously improve talent acquisition practices to increase efficiency, scalability for surge hiring, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 6+ years of talent acquisition experience, with a focus on leadership and general labor recruitment.
• Experience in disaster recovery, restoration, construction, or emergency response strongly preferred.
• Spanish fluency (spoken and written) highly desired.
• Demonstrated success partnering with executives and senior leaders to develop and execute recruiting strategies.
• Strong experience with diversity recruiting and inclusive sourcing methods.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, deployment-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for candidate experience.
