What you'll be doing

As a Talent Acquisition Partner for CIBC’s U.S. Region, you’ll join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering best-in-class talent across the CIBC. You’ll develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, leveraging both online and offline channels to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. Your role will involve coordinating the full life cycle of recruitment, from sourcing and screening to onboarding, primarily supporting our Corporate Functions lines of business. You’ll stay ahead of labor market trends and competitor activity, offering valuable insights to business partners and helping influence hiring plans. As a key player in our Talent Initiatives, you’ll create strong networking relationships and support hiring strategies that foster an inclusive workplace. You’ll manage applicant tracking systems, collaborate with business leaders, internal stakeholders, and act as a subject matter expert for U.S. recruiting metrics.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategic Sourcing & Networking - Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and build relationships with both active and passive candidates, including leveraging social media and attending networking events.

  • Full Life Cycle Recruitment - Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities for a variety of positions, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with recruiting teams, HR Business Partners, and internal clients to determine sourcing strategies and provide exceptional client service.

  • Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives - Support CIBC’s diversity goals by building networks and fostering relationships with diverse talent pools.

  • Market Insights & Talent Mapping - Research labor market trends and competitor information, providing actionable insights to improve hiring quality and forecast talent needs.

  • Recruitment Operations & Technology - Manage candidate tracking databases such as workday, utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and HR systems, and preparing offer letters and onboarding activities.

Who you are

  • You bring at least 3 years of recruitment and sourcing experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment, ideally with lateral hiring exposure.

  • You’re a strong communicator. Your excellent oral and written communication skills help you build relationships with peers, management, and stakeholders at all levels.

  • You’re tech-savvy You have experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Peoplesoft, and preferably Workday, and possess intermediate skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • You’re adaptable and organized. You thrive in changing environments, effectively prioritize competing tasks, and manage tight timelines.

  • You’re a creative problem solver. You bring creative insight to deliver practical HR solutions that address business challenges.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $80,000- $110,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
