Talent Partner – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced Talent Partner who thrives on high-volume recruitment, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering exceptional candidate experiences?

We're looking for an energetic, commercially minded Talent Partner to join our high-performing Talent Acquisition team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is your opportunity to lead multiple recruitment campaigns, and assisting hiring managers recruit and mobilise our frontline Station Staff.

This is far more than a recruitment role. You'll partner with senior leaders, influence workforce planning, drive innovative attraction strategies, and play a critical role in ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time. What you'll be doing

As a trusted Talent Partner, you'll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across large-scale volume campaigns while partnering closely with People Business Partners, Hiring Managers and People function teams to deliver outstanding hiring outcomes.

You'll:

  • Lead high-volume recruitment campaigns.
  • Design and execute innovative attraction strategies that engage top talent in a competitive market.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines using market insights and workforce data.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from briefing through to offer and onboarding.
  • Facilitate large-scale assessment centres including candidate screening, testing and group assessments.
  • Partner with leaders to provide strategic workforce planning advice and recruitment solutions.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Metro's employer brand.
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion by attracting talent from a broad range of backgrounds.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple business divisions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and drive best practice.

About you

You're passionate about recruitment and genuinely enjoy partnering with leaders to solve workforce challenges.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment campaigns within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience running assessment centres, group recruitment activities and volume selection processes.
  • Confidence managing multiple competing priorities while delivering exceptional service.
  • Experience recruiting specialist and technical positions alongside volume hiring.
  • Strong sourcing capability and experience developing talent pipelines.
  • SAP recruitment experience is essential, along with experience using PageUp, SuccessFactors or similar ATS platforms.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused attitude.
  • A genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion and creating positive candidate experiences.
